Republika Srpska to auction damaged Audi A3 after official's crash

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska is preparing to auction an Audi A3 that was severely damaged in a traffic accident involving former deputy speaker Anja Ljubojević. The Government of Republika Srpska has granted approval to sell the technically unsound vehicle through a bidding process.

A court expert has valued the damaged vehicle at 2,500 KM, which will serve as the starting price for the auction. This is a significant decrease from its pre-accident valuation of 46,500 KM.

The accident occurred on June 6 around 4:00 AM near Roguljić. Ljubojević was driving the official vehicle alone from the direction of Laktaša when she failed to navigate a temporary detour established for bridge construction, subsequently striking a construction scaffold. While Ljubojević was uninjured, she later stated she had consumed a few drinks prior to driving. Because kasko insurance typically does not cover damages if the driver is under the influence of alcohol, she may be held responsible for the repair costs.
