Republika Srpska to fund private after-school care

The Government of Republika Srpska has announced financial support for parents whose children attend private after-school programs due to a lack of capacity in public primary schools. The measure is expected to take effect on September 1.

The initiative targets parents of students in the first through third grades and is projected to cover approximately 600 students across the region. In Banja Luka, the demand for additional capacity is particularly high, with the government providing funds for five primary schools.

This intervention serves as a temporary measure while urban, technical, and construction requirements are addressed to build additional permanent space in public schools.
