Requião Filho critiques Paraná administration in gubernatorial debate

During a recent televised debate for the Paraná governorship, candidate Requião Filho (PDT) focused his platform on criticizing the current state administration and proposing reforms in education and health. He contested the quality of the state's education system, specifically targeting the civic-military school model and the reliance on temporary contracts for teachers. In health, he claimed transplant waiting lists have doubled and called for more public exams to hire doctors and nurses.

Requião Filho also addressed infrastructure and economic issues, including the privatization of Copel and the implementation of tolls. The debate also brought scrutiny to his family's political legacy. While Requião Filho uses his father Roberto Requião’s administration as a reference, critics point to past logistical failures in the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina, as well as recent investigations like Operation Serendipitia, which involved allegations of money laundering and corruption linked to his uncle, Eduardo Requião.
