RESCENE members choose to remain without personal phones

Members of the rising K-pop girl group RESCENE revealed during a broadcast of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday’ that none of the group members currently possess personal mobile phones.

According to members Woni, Liv, and Zena, the decision to remain phone-free was initially a condition set by their agency, which promised they could reclaim their devices after winning first place on a music show. However, despite achieving that milestone, the group has chosen to continue living without smartphones to maintain focus during a critical period in their careers. Woni noted that they want to avoid distractions that could lead to mistakes during this important time.

The revelation drew reactions from the show's cast, with veteran idol Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation recalling that her group also lived without phones and messaging apps like KakaoTalk during their early promotions.
