Rescue operation underway in Voss after person reported in water

Emergency services are conducting a search and rescue operation in Vangsvatnet, Voss, after a boat reportedly encountered difficulties.

Authorities have successfully rescued one individual from the water, who is reported to be awake and receiving medical attention. However, a second person, believed to be a tourist, remains missing in the water.

The search effort involves police, fire services, sea crews, air ambulance, drones, and search dogs. High winds and waves at the location have complicated observation efforts. A rescue helicopter has been deployed to assist in the search.
