Rescue operations underway across India following floods and training accidents

Emergency services and military units in India are conducting multiple rescue operations following flooding and training accidents. In Himachal Pradesh, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rescued two people from the Ran River in Nahan and an elderly individual from a fast-flowing river in the Sirmaur district during adverse weather conditions.

In Haryana, a training exercise at the Hathnikund Barrage on the Yamuna River resulted in an accident where five commandos were swept away after a boat developed a technical fault. While three soldiers were rescued, two commandos remain missing. The Army and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have launched a large-scale search operation involving helicopters to locate the missing personnel.

Additionally, the NDRF continues to manage flood relief efforts in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, evacuating residents from flooded areas in the Rewa district.
