Rescued Cat Link Finds Forever Home in Perthshire

Ebony Ashton and her partner Kendric, a couple from Crieff in Perthshire, adopted a rescue cat named Link after the death of their first cat, Goblin. Goblin, rescued earlier from a worksite, lived with the family for 15 months before succumbing to advanced liver failure. Seeking to heal, the couple applied to the Scottish SPCA and were quickly matched with Link from the charity’s Aberdeenshire centre. Initially shy and defensive, Link gradually transformed, providing the couple with emotional comfort and a sense of “love after loss.” The Ashtons praised the SPCA’s rapid, supportive adoption process and ongoing after‑care, describing the staff as caring and responsive.
