Researcher alleges National Park Service overreach
Lynne M. Taylor, an education-based researcher, has raised concerns regarding alleged overreach by the National Park Service (NPS). Taylor states that while she is not anti-NPS, she is pro-natural preservation and seeks to protect natural spaces.
The report highlights the NPS's extensive partnerships with various federal agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Federal Highway Administration, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Additionally, the NPS maintains ties with the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, and Transportation, as well as FEMA.
Taylor suggests that recent changes from the past two administrations in Washington, D.C., have impacted how these shared national resources are managed.
