Researchers compute massive three-loop form factors for gluonic contributions

Researchers at the Institute for Symbolic Computing (RISC) have published findings regarding the computation of massive three-loop form factors for gluonic contributions. These calculations involve vector, axial-vector, scalar, and pseudoscalar currents, which are essential for precision collider phenomenology.

Using advanced computer algebra, automated guessing, and large-scale PSLQ searches, the team employed the large-moment method to solve complex recurrences and differential equations. The study achieved a complete analytic series expansion around s=pminfty for the first time, providing an exact analytic representation around s=0 in terms of multiple zeta values (MZVs). The results serve as a landmark benchmark for modern symbolic computation.
