Reserva do Iguaçu modernizes public works management with BIM technology
The municipality of Reserva do Iguaçu is upgrading its public management and technical capacity through the Aliança BIM Paraná Project. The initiative has provided the municipality with two high-performance computers and three specialized software licenses to enhance engineering and infrastructure projects.
Municipal employees are also undergoing technical training in Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology. This technology integrates architecture, engineering, and construction data into 3D digital models, allowing for greater precision in project design, improved planning, and more efficient oversight of public works. The goal is to reduce errors and optimize the use of public resources.
The Aliança BIM Paraná Project is a partnership between the Association of Municipalities of Paraná (AMP) and Itaipu Binacional, supported by FUNTEF and the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR). The program includes 304 municipalities in Paraná, offering free access to equipment, software, and professional training.
