Reset Cycles customizes 1979 Moto Guzzi V1000

Reset Cycles, a Dutch workshop led by Charles Poelmans, has completed a custom transformation of a 1979 Moto Guzzi V1000 G5. The project focuses on an aesthetic of extreme simplicity, featuring long, low, and clean lines that hide complex mechanical modifications.

To achieve a streamlined profile, various components such as the throttle, brake pump, electrical controls, and other mechanical elements were repositioned or modified. The signature Moto Guzzi transverse V-twin engine, along with the gearbox and final drive, was completely disassembled and rebuilt. The build utilizes Dell’Orto PHF carburetors and features a custom House of Kolor paint job.

Poelmans, who brings two decades of experience in classic car customization and Maserati restoration, designed the motorcycle to retain its original G5 identity while adopting a modern design language. Notable details include a rear light inspired by 1950s British cars and Triumph motorcycles, and a front brake pump relocated beneath the fuel tank to clear the handlebars.
