Reset Ltd. founded by BioWare veterans to develop ‘The Eventide’

Former BioWare developers Kaelin Lavallee, Francis Lacuna, and Kris Schoneberg have founded a new studio, Reset Ltd., to develop a mystery adventure titled ‘The Eventide’. The team aims to apply narrative principles learned from working on major franchises like ‘Mass Effect’ and ‘Dragon Age’ to a new genre.

Set in a contemporary Canadian metropolis, the game features a ‘neon noir’ aesthetic inspired by the 1990s and the atmosphere of ‘The X-Files’. Unlike traditional RPGs, players do not control a single character but instead act as an invisible hand managing a team of paranormal investigators.

Gameplay involves selecting two agents from a pool of characters with unique backgrounds and abilities to solve various unsolved cases. The game utilizes a watercolor art style and focuses heavily on character-driven storytelling and world-building.
