Resident Evil 4 Remake leak reveals 671 unused voice lines

A modder has discovered 671 unused, fully recorded voice lines from the Resident Evil 4 Remake. The audio and subtitles were uncovered by community modder Keff0 within the game’s PlayStation 5 launch disc, though the content is notably absent from the PC version.

The leaked files include approximately 30 minutes of dialogue featuring characters such as Leon S. Kennedy, Luis Sera, Ashley Graham, and the Merchant. The discovery reveals that Capcom may have intended to create a narrative connection between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village. Specifically, one of the Merchant’s cut lines references ‘The Duke’, a character from Resident Evil Village.

Other findings include dialogue regarding combat, exploration, and character reactions that were omitted from the final release. Some lines also reflect elements from the original 2005 game, such as Leon’s specific descriptions of enemies.
