Resident Evil adds 2026 live-action film and new Leon & Grace amiibo figures

Capcom announced a new Resident Evil live‑action film directed by Zach Cregger, scheduled for release in German cinemas on 17 September 2026. The director described the movie as "the most violent thing I've ever made" and said it follows an original storyline about a medic courier named Bryan who enters the zombie‑infested Raccoon City, independent of the video‑game canon.

At the same time, Capcom released amiibo figures of Leon S. Kennedy and Grace from Resident Evil Requiem. The figures are now available in the Nintendo Store for €29.99 each and unlock exclusive weapon skins for the characters in the game.
