New promotional images and footage for Zach Cregger’s upcoming Resident Evil film reboot have been released, offering glimpses into the production and potential lore deviations. The film, starring Austin Abrams as Bryan, a medical courier, is set to take place over a single night in Raccoon City during a T-virus outbreak.

Released stills from Sony Pictures show various scenes, including characters navigating sewers, discovering items in vacant houses, and an Umbrella scientist being pulled from a vehicle by a tentacle. Notably, a new TV spot features a mutated dog with tentacles emerging from its mouth. This has sparked speculation among fans regarding the presence of ‘Las Plagas’—a parasite typically associated with Resident Evil 4—which could suggest the film deviates significantly from the established timeline of the original games.

Production for the film took place in Prague between October 2025 and January 2026, featuring numerous snowy nighttime sequences. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on September 18, 2026.
