Resident Evil movie tickets go on sale following new poster reveals

Sony has announced that tickets for the new Resident Evil feature film are now on sale ahead of its theatrical release. The film, directed by Zach Cregger, is scheduled to arrive in theaters and IMAX on September 18 in some regions, with a Japanese release date set for October 9.

Set in Raccoon City, the story follows Bryan, an everyday medical courier played by Austin Abrams, who is thrust into a fight for survival as the city collapses. The narrative takes place alongside the events of Resident Evil 2 but focuses on a different character and mission. The production utilized practical sets, including a hospital ward and sewers, to capture the atmosphere of the original Capcom survival horror games.

New promotional materials have been released, including IMAX, ScreenX, and 4DX posters. Director Zach Cregger described the film as a “rollercoaster” experience designed to mimic the feeling of playing the games, noting that the story is a non-stop, 95-minute experience. The film is rated R for brutal violence and graphic content.
