Residential apartment developments progress in Shell Cove and Cronulla

Residential construction projects are advancing in various Australian coastal locations. In Shell Cove, construction has commenced on Portella, a new harbourside apartment building. Developed by Fraser Property and built by Richard Crookes Construction, the project features 88 apartments with amenities including a rooftop terrace and heated pool. The development is currently undergoing bulk excavation and is projected for completion in 2028.

In North Cronulla, new mid-rise apartment proposals have been submitted under a state government Low and Mid-Rise Housing Policy. The proposed developments include an eight-storey block at 33-37 Seaview Street, which would provide 45 apartments, including ten units designated for affordable housing for at least 15 years. Additionally, a seven-storey building is proposed for Gosport Street to replace older residential structures.
