Residential architecture projects highlighted in Chile and Brazil

Casa Los Navegantes, a residential project in Providencia, Chile, involves the renovation and expansion of a home originally built in 1963. Led by architects María Catalina Picon Meleda and Alberto Browne Cruz, the 264m² project focuses on addressing light and shadow conditions caused by the nearby San Cristóbal hill. The design aims to incorporate more natural light while maintaining privacy and preserving the existing vegetation and courtyard relationships.

In Brazil, the Casa Adentro project by TETRO Arquitetura was completed in 2024. Located on a 5,000 m² lot in Lagoa Santa, near Belo Horizonte, the 1,370 m² residence was designed to integrate an extensive program into a densely wooded area while prioritizing the preservation of existing trees.
