Residential fires reported in Açailândia and Redenção

Multiple residential fires have been reported in the Brazilian states of Maranhão and Pará. In Açailândia, Maranhão, a fire destroyed a home in the Jacu neighborhood, leaving a 56-year-old woman with burns to her face and scalp. Firefighters managed to rescue a dog from the property and prevented the flames from spreading to a neighboring house.

In Redenção, Pará, a large fire destroyed both a residence and a vehicle in the Planalto 1 sector. While no injuries were reported, the family involved was left homeless and has been referred to Civil Defense for emergency assistance. Local residents reported power fluctuations prior to the blaze, though official forensic reports have yet to confirm if electrical failure was the cause.
