Residential fires reported in Guingamp and Salernes

Two separate residential fires have been reported in France. In Guingamp, a violent fire broke out on Monday morning, September 14, at a residence on Rue Montbareil. The fire heavily damaged the roof within ten minutes. Emergency services were called around 8:30 a.m. and worked to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring buildings. The incident caused ash to fall in surrounding streets and led to the closure of several nearby roads.

In Salernes, a three-story house in the old town was ravaged by a fire during the night of September 12 to September 13. Firefighters deployed 38 personnel, 19 vehicles, and a drone team to combat the blaze in the narrow streets. Four occupants were evacuated and initially sheltered in an emergency local facility before being taken in by family members. An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the fire.
