Resilient Asset Management to sell 4.98% stake in Paytm

Resilient Asset Management B.V., a company wholly owned by Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, intends to sell up to 4.98% of its shareholding in One 97 Communications Ltd. through a block market trade.

The proceeds from this sale will be directed to Antfin under an existing optionally convertible debenture (OCD) agreement established in August 2023. This transaction is intended to further reduce Antfin’s indirect economic exposure to Paytm. The company clarified that One 97 Communications is not a party to the transaction and that Sharma’s direct shareholding remains unchanged.

This move follows Antfin’s gradual reduction of its stake in the Indian fintech company, having fully exited its direct stake in August 2025. As of the quarter ending June 30, 2026, Paytm has maintained its status as an Indian-Owned and Controlled Company (IOCC), with domestic investors holding 51.6% of the company.
