Resistencia hosts “Bosque de Esperanza” textile exhibition against deforestation

The “Bosque de Esperanza” (Forest of Hope) exhibition, organized by the environmental collective Zurciendo el Planeta, is set to open at the Centro Cultural Alternativo (CECUAL) in Resistencia, Chaco, on September 4.

Supported by the Chaco delegation of the Sindicato de Amas de Casa de la República Argentina (SACRA), the installation features over one thousand textile pieces. These works were collectively embroidered by women from Latin America and Europe using recycled fabrics. The exhibition aims to foster reflection on the climate crisis, the loss of native forests, and sustainable practices through artistic activism and the recovery of traditional textile techniques.
