ResMed and Oura launch partnership to expand sleep health education and care access
ResMed (NYSE: RMD) has partnered with wearable‑tech maker Oura to provide sleep health education and pathways to clinical care for users of Oura Ring Gen 3 and Ring 4 who hold active Oura memberships. The collaboration aims to turn sleep‑tracking insights into actionable steps, allowing members who see signs of nighttime breathing disturbances to access a ResMed‑provided sleep assessment, connect with independent healthcare providers remotely or in person, and receive educational guides.
Both companies cite the underdiagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) – an estimated 80 % of US adults with OSA remain undiagnosed – and the growing use of wearables, with ResMed’s survey indicating 16 % of adults tracked sleep with wearables in 2025, rising to 53 % in 2026. ResMed’s chief medical officer Carlos Nunez said the partnership marks an “inflection point” in how people engage with sleep health, while Oura’s chief medical officer Ricky Bloomfield highlighted the value of combining continuous sleep insights with ResMed’s expertise to help users spot issues and seek care.
The program is currently available to Oura Ring users meeting the device and membership criteria, offering resources that bridge consumer‑level sleep data with professional evaluation and treatment options.
