Resolution Games adds Qix to Retrocade on Apple Arcade

Resolution Games has added the 1981 Taito arcade classic Qix to its Retrocade collection on Apple Arcade. This marks the 14th title available in the virtual arcade lineup.

Retrocade is designed to recreate the arcade experience across various Apple platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. On the Vision Pro, the game utilizes mixed reality to present a life-sized arcade cabinet within the user's physical space. The application supports controller integration, such as the DualSense, and features iCloud synchronization to allow players to transition sessions between devices.

The current Retrocade catalog includes other classic titles such as Pac-Man, Asteroids, Galaga, and Tetris. The collection focuses on faithful recreations of original gameplay rather than modernized remakes.
