Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy reaches gold, launch set for Aug 27 2026

Asobo Studio announced that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has entered the gold phase, meaning the master version is complete and the game is ready for publication. The prequel is scheduled for release on 27 August 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with day‑one availability on Xbox Game Pass.

Set fifteen years before the events of A Plague Tale Requiem, the title follows a new heroine, Sophia, as she explores the mythic Island of the Minotaur. The game introduces a more direct combat system while retaining the series' exploration and puzzle elements, expanding the franchise’s mythology. Focus Entertainment will publish the title worldwide.

The gold milestone confirms there will be no further delays, allowing the team to focus on final polishing, performance tweaks and any launch‑day updates.
