Resorts World Sentosa to host Singapore Judgment wine tasting

Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) will host the ‘Singapore Judgment,’ an international blind wine tasting event scheduled for October 2–4, 2026. Serving as the flagship event for Singapore Wine Week 2026, the tasting aims to explore the evolution of wine styles and craftsmanship over the last 50 years, following the historical precedent of the ‘Judgment of Paris.’

Co-hosted by wine expert Lisa Perrotti-Brown and Master Sommelier Ronan Sayburn, the event will feature a 15-member judging panel from 10 different countries. The panel will conduct a double-blind tasting of 24 wines—comprising 12 Chardonnays and 12 Cabernet Sauvignons—primarily from the 2019 vintage. These selections will include producers from Europe, the Americas, and Australia.

Rather than a traditional competition to crown a winner, the study focuses on whether terroir and origin remain identifiable when labels and producer identities are hidden. Judges will evaluate the wines based on balance, intensity, complexity, aging potential, and uniqueness. The results are set to be revealed on October 4, 2026, alongside the Fruits of the Vine Wine Fair.
