Respiratory health specialists gather for medical meetings in Spain and community workshops

Medical professionals and community organizations are hosting various initiatives focused on respiratory health. In Ourense, Spain, the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Sociedade Galega de Patoloxía Respiratoria (SOGAPAR) brought together 115 specialists to discuss advancements in diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases.

The SOGAPAR meeting, organized by the Pulmonology service of the Ourense, Verín, and Valdeorras health area, covered topics including thoracic oncology, asthma, COPD, and the risks of vaping. The program featured scientific presentations on clinical guidelines, cardiovascular risks related to asthma, and surgical techniques for lung cancer.

In a separate community-focused initiative, ICC Neumo is conducting a series of free workshops throughout November titled “Respirar bien, vivir mejor!”. These sessions aim to promote respiratory care and healthy habits through workshops on smoking cessation, COPD awareness, sleep disorders, and the importance of vaccinations.
