Restaurant Bondestuen named Denmark’s best smørrebrød restaurant

Restaurant Bondestuen in Odense has been named the winner of Denmark’s best smørrebrød for 2026. The title was awarded following a nationwide vote conducted by Opdag Danmark.

The competition involved 2,698 participants voting on 80 different dining establishments across the country. Following the announcement, Restaurant Bondestuen expressed gratitude to its guests, stating that the recognition serves as a tribute to the entire staff, including the kitchen and service teams, as well as the ingredients and traditions that define the establishment.
