Restaurant chains Pret A Manger and Wagamama open new outlets on UK motorways

Pret A Manger has opened its first service‑station café on the M25 at Clacket Lane Westbound Services near Kent. The outlet, operated with franchise partner Roadchef, serves fresh sandwiches, salads, hot dishes and organic coffee from 7 am to 7 pm and created eight new jobs as part of Pret’s wider motorway network rollout.

Wagamama announced plans to open its first service‑station restaurants at Beaconsfield Services on the M40 and Cobham Services on the M25. The 2,600‑sq‑ft sites will be let by Extra MSA for a 15‑year term in partnership with restaurant group TRGC, with openings expected in the coming months. The move follows recent Wagamama “grab‑and‑go” launches at Heathrow and Birmingham airports, expanding the brand’s presence across UK travel hubs.
