Restaurant expansions and transitions reported in Tarragona and Valencia

Several changes are occurring in the Spanish hospitality sector. In Tarragona, the burger chain Kalavia is expanding its presence with a third location in the region. The new restaurant will occupy the former Ol'Dirty Burgers space in the Cooperativa Obrera Tarraconense building on Carrer de Fortuny. The establishment is scheduled to open on September 10, with a grand inauguration planned for September 17.

In Valencia, the deli concept Deli Pope is set to close during the first week of October. The space will undergo redecoration to become the second Ultramarinos Pope location in the city. This transition follows the success of the existing Ultramarinos Pope branches in L’Eliana and Alameda. Business owners noted that high competition from other burger establishments in the city center may have influenced the decision to pivot the concept.
