Restaurant owner Marcel Farsen García Sistiaga killed in Valencia shooting

Marcel Farsen García Sistiaga, the 50-year-old owner of the well-known restaurant ‘El Caporal’, was shot and killed in Valencia, Carabobo state, during the early hours of Friday, September 25.

The attack occurred near the El Viñedo distributor in the Chaguaramal urban area. According to preliminary reports, the victim was traveling in a white pickup truck when he was intercepted by individuals on a motorcycle. The assailants, whose faces were covered, opened fire on the vehicle. Witnesses reported hearing approximately six gunshots.

García Sistiaga died at the scene due to the severity of the wounds. Officers from local police and the Scientific, Criminal, and Investigative Corps (Cicpc) arrived to secure the area, collect evidence, and remove the body for medical-legal examinations. Authorities are currently investigating all possible motives to identify the perpetrators.
