Restaurant owner murdered in El Agustino

Luis Alberto León Narváez, a restaurant owner, was shot and killed in front of his business in the El Agustino district of Lima. The victim had opened the food establishment only one month prior.

According to reports, the attack occurred on Incahuasi Street when two individuals on a motorcycle intercepted León Narváez as he was entering his premises. Witnesses described the assailants as a man and a woman on a motorcycle who opened fire multiple times before fleeing. Forensic experts recovered between five and six shell casings at the scene.

León Narváez was rushed to the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, where medical staff confirmed his death. While his wife stated they had not received extortion threats, local residents expressed suspicion of extortion, noting that a motorcycle had been seen circling the area multiple times recently. The National Police of Peru are currently reviewing security camera footage to determine the motive and identify the perpetrators. The incident occurred while the government has maintained a state of emergency in Lima and Callao to combat high crime rates.
