The first edition of the Sabores de Ouro Regional Gastronomic Circuit has concluded, celebrating culinary excellence in the Brazilian municipalities of Nova Lima, Raposos, and Rio Acima.
Restaurante Nora Nei, located in Raposos, secured the overall first-place position and was named the top establishment in its municipality. The restaurant also received the award for Best Service. Other regional winners included Sô Emílio Butiquim in Nova Lima and Bar e Restaurante Pôr do Sol in Rio Acima.
The competition featured 33 businesses that prepared special dishes using local ingredients, specifically combining proteins with honey or Non-Conventional Food Plants (PANCs). Winners were determined by public vote via QR code evaluations covering taste, presentation, service, wait times, and cleanliness. The initiative was organized by the local city governments with support from Sebrae Minas and the IGR Circuito do Ouro to promote regional tourism and culinary identity.
