Resto del Verano restaurant destroyed by fire at Kavaci Beach

A major fire has completely destroyed the Resto del Verano restaurant at Kavaci Beach. The blaze, which broke out shortly after midday, reportedly originated in the kitchen area and quickly spread, consuming the wooden structure, roof, and all interior furnishings.

Emergency responders, including six firefighters and two fire engines, worked to extinguish the flames, with assistance from tourists on the beach. While no injuries to staff or tourists have been officially reported, the damage to the facility appears to be total. High temperatures caused metal elements to deform, leaving behind only charred beams.

Investigators are looking into several possibilities, including the potential for arson, given the timing near the end of the summer season. Authorities have not yet released an official estimate of the material damages.
