ReStory electronic repair sim launches August 6 on PC

Publisher tinyBuild and developer Mandragora announced that the simulation game ReStory will be released on August 6 for PC via Steam. Set in Tokyo around the turn of the millennium, the game lets players run a small electronics‑repair shop, dismantling and restoring a range of vintage devices, including iconic consoles and licensed Atari systems.

Gameplay blends detailed repair mechanics—unscrewing, cleaning, part replacement, soldering and repainting—with customer interactions that shape branching storylines. Player choices can affect characters’ lives and the game’s multiple endings. A demo that featured among Steam Next Fest’s most‑played demos has already gathered over 600,000 wishlists.

ReStory emphasizes narrative depth alongside its hands‑on tinkering, offering both nostalgic hardware and a non‑linear plot where decisions influence reputation, finances and future events.
