Resuscitation Marathon to host first aid training in Pitești

The second edition of the ‘Maratonul Resuscitării’ (Resuscitation Marathon) is scheduled to take place on September 26, 2026, at Argeș Mall in Pitești. The event is designed to educate the public, including children, on essential first aid techniques for cardiorespiratory arrest.

Over 60 medical professionals, including doctors, paramedics, nurses, medical students, and SMURD volunteers, will be present to demonstrate correct resuscitation methods. Participants will have the opportunity to practice techniques on mannequins to learn how to respond effectively before emergency crews arrive.

Originally started in 2015 in Cluj-Napoca, the initiative has expanded nationally under the coordination of the SMURD Foundation. Since 2019, the project has visited 13 Romanian cities and has reached approximately 30,000 participants across various editions.
