RETAbet obtains Portuguese online gambling license

The online gambling operator RETAbet has been granted a licence by Portugal’s regulator, the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ), to offer sports betting and casino games. The approval makes Portugal the company’s third regulated market after Spain and Peru and comes as the Portuguese online Gross Gaming Revenue grew 13.7% in Q1 2026 to €323.7 million.

The licence reflects the rapid expansion of Portugal’s regulated gambling sector, which now hosts a growing number of licensed operators offering welcome bonuses and complying with strict consumer‑protection rules on privacy, anti‑money‑laundering and system audits.
