Retail closures announced for local shops in Vigo and Tafalla
Several local businesses in Spain are announcing permanent closures and liquidation sales scheduled for the end of September.
In Vigo, the iconic surf and urban fashion store Kailua will close its doors on September 30 after more than three decades in operation. Located on Estrada Vella de Madrid, the shop specialized in water sports equipment and surf-inspired apparel. The business is currently holding a liquidation sale with discounts of up to 70% on items including surfboards, wetsuits, and vintage clothing.
In Tafalla, the hybrid bookstore and vintage fashion space ‘Una Cosa’ is also set to close its physical location on September 30. Founded by Belén Aguirre, the shop served as a cultural hub for independent books, art, and music. While the current physical space is closing, Aguirre indicated that the project is expected to mutate into a different format or location in the future.
