Retail developments in Austria and Germany target 2027 openings
New retail developments in Austria and Germany are both targeting spring 2027 for their respective openings.
In Seiersberg, Austria, the Kovac Group has announced a delay for the FMZ Shopping Süd project. Originally planned for this autumn, the opening of the specialty market center on the former Hausmann wholesale site has been pushed to March 2027, with an expected launch before Easter. The center will feature approximately 3,500 square meters of sales space and seven to eight shops. While construction has begun and initial lease agreements are signed, specific tenants remain confidential.
In Saarlouis, Germany, a new shopping center is being developed on the former Real site at Röderberg. Scheduled to open in April or May 2027, the center will feature a mix of full-range and discount retailers. Edeka will serve as the anchor tenant with nearly 4,000 square meters of space. Other confirmed tenants include dm, Action, Thomas Philipps, Netto, NKD, an Asian snack bar, a hair salon, and a nail studio.
