Retail expansion continues in Nuremberg and Trier
Several retail expansions are taking place in German city centers. The Austrian company Sonnentor, which specializes in organic herbs, teas, spices, and coffee, has opened a new branch in Nuremberg's Königstraße. The location was chosen due to its high foot traffic and central position. This move expands Sonnentor's presence in southern Germany, bringing its total number of German locations to eight.
In Trier, the household appliance company Vorwerk has confirmed plans to open a new store in the city center on Nagelstraße. Expected to open between mid and late October 2026, the store will feature products from the Wuppertal-based corporation, which is known for the Thermomix and Kobold brands. Vorwerk operates in more than 60 countries and reported a group turnover of 3.6 billion euros in 2025.
