Retail expansion continues in Warsaw with Max Mara and Boardriders openings
Retail activity in Warsaw is seeing significant shifts as major brands expand their physical presence. The luxury fashion house Max Mara has opened a new boutique in the Metropolitan building at Piłsudski Square. This new location offers an extensive range of lines, including Max Mara Accessories, Studio, and Sportmax, signaling a strategic move by the Metropolitan building to pivot its commercial profile toward the premium and luxury segments. Additionally, the multi-brand retailer Moliera2 has secured over 1,300 square meters in the same complex, with a flagship salon planned for 2026.
In the lifestyle and sportswear sector, Boardriders, a brand within the MODIVO Group portfolio, has opened its 18th store in Poland. Located in the Domy Towarowe Centrum in central Warsaw, the store focuses on action sports and streetwear, featuring brands such as Quiksilver, Billabong, and DC. This expansion follows MODIVO's acquisition of the Boardriders network in 2024. Recent financial reports from MODIVO Platform indicate a period of rapid growth, with group revenues exceeding 3 billion PLN for the first time, driven by a 42 percent year-on-year increase in the number of stores.
