Retail expansions announced for Aeon Mall locations in Japan

New retail locations are opening at Aeon Mall facilities in Japan.

In Tomakomai, Rakuten Mobile is scheduled to open a new store at Aeon Mall Tomakomai on October 9, 2026. The shop will occupy the second-floor space previously held by the fashion and goods retailer Kisha. This marks the fourth Rakuten Mobile location within Tomakomai city.

In Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture, the first Starbucks Tea & Cafe in the region opened at Aeon Mall Kusatsu on September 25, 2026. This new business format focuses on tea-based beverages and features specialized interior design, including an orange tea-themed wall and tea garden aesthetics. The location also offers sweets from the Italian bakery brand Princi.
