Retail expansions scheduled for October 2026 in Kanto region

Several retail and food service expansions are scheduled for October 2026 in the Kanto region.

Supermarket chain Yaoko will open its Maruhiro Iruma SC store in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture, on October 9. The new location, situated in the basement of the Maruhiro Iruma Shopping Center, is expected to generate 2.2 billion yen in annual sales during its first year. The store will feature specialized sections for meat, fresh fish, produce, prepared foods, sushi, and bakery items.

Additionally, the Hokkaido-based fried chicken specialty brand, Karaage 884, will make its first appearance in the Kanto region under the name ‘HOKKAIDO OBIHIRO 884’. Supported by MJY Consultant, the brand will hold a limited-time opening at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza on October 9.
