Retail Holding loses five French Carrefour hypermarkets

Retail Holding, a group led by Zouhair Bennani, has lost five of the six French hypermarkets it acquired from Carrefour in 2023. The only remaining location is the Atacadão in Aulnay-sous-Bois, the first of its kind in France.

To stabilize the remaining establishment, the company has reached an agreement with the CFDT and CGT unions regarding annual mandatory negotiations. The protocol includes a 1.7% gross base salary increase for employees in levels 1 through 4, as well as supervisors in levels 5 and 6. This increase is retroactive to April 1 and is contingent upon employees remaining with the company through July 31, 2026.
