Retail hubs in India host celebrations for Independence Day

Major retail destinations in India, including Felix Plaza in Gurugram and Ambience Malls in Gurgaon and Vasant Kunj, are hosting various events to commemorate India’s 80th Independence Day.

Felix Plaza has launched the ‘Feathers of Freedom’ campaign, featuring a floral ‘Peacock of Pride’ installation inspired by the Indian tricolour. The mall will host a women-led entrepreneurial showcase on August 15 and 16 in partnership with the Army Wives Welfare Association, featuring 15 brands focused on home décor, sustainable fashion, and organic skincare. A children’s festival is also scheduled for the same dates.

Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj is featuring installations symbolizing the nation’s journey, alongside tricolour façade illumination and performances by students from Lady Shri Ram College and Hindu College. Ambience Mall Gurgaon is hosting the ‘Eternal Flame of Valour’ installation to honor the armed forces, alongside handloom art exhibits. This venue will also host an Army Women’s Welfare Association exhibit on August 15 and 16, as well as an Air Force Band performance.
