Retail updates in Tokyo: Uniqlo and Gyomu Super announce new openings

Several retail developments are scheduled for Tokyo in late October 2026.

The Uniqlo Setagaya Chitosedai store is set to reopen on October 23, 2026, following renovations. The updated location will introduce new services, including ‘UNIQLO COFFEE’ and ‘UNIQLO FLOWER,’ alongside store-exclusive UTme! collaboration products. To celebrate the reopening, the store will offer promotional gifts, including pastries from La Vieille France and limited-edition stainless steel bottles for qualifying purchases.

In Edogawa Ward, a new Gyomu Super is scheduled to open on October 29, 2026, at the Metro Center 4th Avenue site near Nishi-Kasai Station. The location occupies the former site of the ‘Jogai Ichiba’ supermarket, which closed in July 2026. This new branch marks the fifth Gyomu Super location within Edogawa Ward.
