Retailers Aldi and MR. D.I.Y. expand presence in Spain

Retailers Aldi and MR. D.I.Y. are expanding their footprints in Spain with new store openings.

Aldi is set to open a new supermarket in Puente Tocinos, Murcia, on September 30. The facility features over 1,000 m² of sales space and will employ 13 people. This expansion brings Aldi's total to 18 stores in the Murcia region. The company maintains a strong local supply chain, working with approximately 30 local providers in Murcia to offer regional products such as seasonal fruits, vegetables, and local wines.

MR. D.I.Y. has opened a new 596 m² store in the Madrid Xanadú shopping center in Arroyomolinos. Specializing in home decor, DIY, and stationery, the retailer aims to reach a broader audience through this strategic location. The company plans to open two additional stores in other shopping centers within the Community of Madrid in the coming weeks.
