Retailers Biedronka and Bookbot expand operations in Slovakia

The Polish retail chain Biedronka is expanding its presence in Slovakia, having recently opened a new store in Močenka located on Biskupa Klucha street. The company has also indicated plans for a future location in Nitra, with job postings for management positions appearing for a site near the bus station on Staničná street.

Simultaneously, the secondhand book retailer Bookbot is strengthening its position in the Slovak market. Following the opening of its first physical branch in Bratislava on Špitálska street, the company has launched a marketing campaign featuring branded buses to increase brand awareness. Bookbot reports significant growth, having processed over 60,000 orders through its Bratislava location, which handles approximately 35% of the books the company receives in Slovakia.
