H&M is expanding its physical presence in Brazil with the opening of four new stores scheduled for the second half of 2026. The expansion includes locations in Rio de Janeiro at Shopping Tijuca and NorteShopping, as well as its first physical operations in the Northeast region at RioMar Fortaleza and RioMar Recife. This move is expected to create approximately 1,000 new jobs.

In the grocery sector, Grupo Coutinho is investing R$ 29 million to open a new Extrabom supermarket in Cariacica, Espírito Santo. The facility, located in the Campo Grande area, covers 2,400 square meters of sales space and is expected to generate 350 direct and indirect jobs. The group aims to reach a total of 60 stores by 2028 following its recent acquisition of the Quitanda network.
