Retailers expand presence in Rio Grande do Sul

Retailers in Rio Grande do Sul are expanding their operations through new store openings. Stok Center is set to inaugurate its second unit in Rio Grande on October 1. Located in the Vila Maria neighborhood, the new cash-and-carry facility covers over 12,000 square meters, with 4,500 square meters dedicated to sales. The store will offer more than 9,000 products across categories such as food, beverages, meat, and household goods.

In Novo Hamburgo, the Super Osana supermarket chain is planning to increase its local presence from four to six units. The expansion includes a new location in the Canudos neighborhood scheduled for October 2026, and a second site in the Maurício Cardoso neighborhood expected to open in the first half of 2027. The company stated that these openings aim to bring competitive pricing and closer service to new communities.
